Kangaroo Study 2026 RMO Round 1 Solutions and Comparison

RMO Round 1 concluded yesterday. We promptly shared answers to some of the questions and hosted a detailed analysis on YouTube that evening. Our Kangaroo teachers also worked overnight to compile and provide solutions for the questions collected.

After checking the answers, students should now have a preliminary sense of their performance. This paper was relatively challenging, with heavy calculations and some deviation from previous years. While a few questions were simple adaptations—or even very similar to ones we recently covered—there were also many that were more secondary-school–oriented and not easy. Completing all questions within one hour was quite demanding. Regardless of the outcome, there’s no need to dwell on it or blame the child—stay confident and focus on the next challenge.

You can review the questions below, and those who did not take the exam can also give them a try. Solutions are provided at the end. We will continue to share further analysis of RMO question trends, which we hope will benefit P4/P5 students.
