Kangaroo Study P6-S1 End-of-Year Holiday Class Kickoff Report
Our P6-S1 holiday course kicks start yesterday, starting with Teacher Jeremiah’s class! Let’s take a look at what Kangaroo Study’s holiday class is like through a few photos!
Wonderful Class Recap
1. Guiding, not Pushing

2. No Understanding, No Leaving

3. Sense of Achievement

Students had a great time attending class and learnt lots of new knowledge!

These photos also reflect the core principles of our lessons.
Guiding, not Pushing: Learning is most effective when students can discover the answer by themselves, so the teacher’s role is to guide students towards this discovery
No Understanding, No Leaving: To ensure students understand the class fully, teachers will stay behind to guide all corrections and clear any doubts
Sense of Achievement: To motivate students to develop a passion in learning Math, teachers will never scold students and will praise students whenever possible
After class, many parents and children have sent us their feedback and praise, let's take a look:

Our Learning Method
The end of the day’s lesson doesn’t mean the end of learning. To help students consolidate what they’ve learned, our program follows a comprehensive learning approach.
1. Before-Class and After-Class Quizzes
Before-Class Quiz: 20 minutes before each lesson, we conduct a brief quiz to evaluate the students’ understanding of the previous lesson. This motivates students to review after class and reinforces their learning.

After-Class Quiz: At the end of each lesson, we spend 20 minutes on a test covering the new material. This ensures students stay focused and attentive during the lesson, allowing them to apply and solidify their new knowledge immediately.

2. Practice Assignments
To further reinforce what they’ve learned, students will be assigned exercises to complete independently after each class. Teachers will review and explain the homework during the following lesson to ensure thorough understanding.

3. Explaining Key Homework Questions
We use the Feynman learning technique, where students strengthen their understanding by teaching others. For key topics, we encourage them to explain the questions to their parents. This helps them express each step clearly, deepen their understanding, and apply their knowledge more confidently.

Class Syllabus
Take a look at our Holiday Class syllabus:

The P6-S1 holiday course is designed to help students build a strong foundation in Numbers, Calculations, and Algebra before officially entering S1. Over the course of five lessons+one exam, students will study a pre-secondary curriculum, covering all the key points from Term 1 and part of Term 2, laying a solid foundation for their entire secondary school math learning.
Next year, our Term 1 syllabus focuses on expanding students' knowledge while continuing to reinforce their foundational skills. Through a structured series of lessons, students will deepen their understanding and build confidence, ensuring they are well-prepared for the academic challenges ahead. This term will emphasize steady growth, laying the groundwork for long-term success.
