GEP Round 2 Mock Exam Complete! Want to Know How Your Child Can Improve? Here’s the Answer!
With less than a month to go before the GEP Round 2 exam, students are entering the crucial final stage of preparation. To help them sharpen their skills, Kangaroo Study held a GEP Round 2 Mock Exam this Thursday, with nearly 60 students taking part. The atmosphere was lively, and the response has been very positive.
The purpose of holding this mock exam was threefold:
(1) To help parents gain a clear understanding of their child’s current level
Through a full paper designed to closely match the real exam’s difficulty, parents can see how their child performs across different topics and question types under real exam conditions. This provides a much more accurate picture than regular practice and serves as a valuable reference for guiding their revision.

(2) To give students first-hand exam experience Most children are used to practicing at home or in class, but performing under time pressure and exam conditions can feel very different. This mock exam allowed students to experience the real exam atmosphere, practice time management, and build confidence so that they can approach the actual Round 2 exam with greater composure.

(3) To identify weak areas and clarify revision priorities The mock exam serves as both a test and a diagnosis. Which areas caused the most mistakes? Was it due to carelessness, or a lack of concept mastery? By pinpointing these weaknesses, students and parents will know exactly what to focus on in the final month of preparation.

Mock Exam Features & Highlights
(1) Aligned with real exam style, covering all key areas The mock exam was carefully designed to reflect the difficulty and style of the GEP Round 2 exam, covering five major modules: Arithmetic, Counting, Word Problems, Geometry, and Miscellaneous. Each module targeted essential concepts, helping students identify gaps and strengthen their foundations.
(2) Personalized exam report After the test, every student will receive a detailed score report with error analysis. This is not just an assessment — it serves as a“compass”for the coming month’s revision. Which question types need more practice? Which solving methods are not yet solid? With these insights, parents and students can plan their revision in a focused and efficient way.

(3) Targeted practice Based on the report, we will assign follow-up exercises tailored to each student’s needs. This ensures that every child spends time on the areas that matter most, instead of practicing aimlessly.

(4) Review classes To help students digest and consolidate what they learned from the mock exam, we will be holding three review classes on 24, 25, and 26 September from 6:30–7:30 pm. In these sessions, teachers will go through the challenging and commonly mistaken questions, explain problem-solving strategies, and help students turn mistakes into strengths.

A mock exam is more like a “check-up” in the learning process, rather than just a “report card.” Its purpose is to help students identify areas for improvement, build confidence, and fine-tune their preparation. With the right methods and a positive attitude, students can perform steadily and achieve their best results in the upcoming GEP Round 2 exam!
If your child did not participate in this mock exam but would like to practice using the test questions and answer explanations, you are welcome to contact Teacher Boqian to receive the materials.
