2 Months to NMOS: A Mock Exam & Seminar to Help You Get on Track

With the two major P6 competitions coming to an end, our P5 students will be sitting for NMOS in less than 3 months.

• How well has your child mastered the NMOS concepts so far?
  Where does your child currently stand, and how should learning goals be set?
  In this final stretch, how can your child improve further?

To support students, we will be organising our second NMOS Mock Exam of the year on 1 May, 10:00–11:30 AM.

After the exam, there will be:

(1) A review session to go through key concepts and common mistakes

(2) A 1-to-1 consultation where teachers will help analyse your child’s level and suggest next steps and goals

At the same time, we have invited competition coach Tr Gao Xuming to conduct a NMOS Preparation Seminar for parents.

1. NMOS Preparation Seminar

Content:

(1) How to plan effectively for the final 2 months before NMOS

(2) How P6 MO competitions and DSA changes may impact future learning

Speaker:

Tr Gao Xuming graduated from Wuhan University and is an experienced Math Olympiad coach for both primary and secondary levels. He is highly familiar with competition formats and question-setting trends.

2023: 10 Sec 1 students entered Round 2 of SMO Junior (out of 106 nationwide), with students selected for the Junior Training Team

2024: 13 students entered Round 2, 6 achieved Gold, 3 entered the Junior Training Team

2025: 13 students again entered Round 2, 4 entered the Junior Training Team; 9 primary students achieved RMO High Distinction, 4 achieved APMOPS Platinum; 80% of P5 students achieved NMOS Gold

Teaching Approach:

Focuses on guiding students’ thinking, helping them understand concepts deeply, discover methods independently, and develop a genuine interest in Mathematics.

(2) Preparation Seminar: 1 May, 10:00–11:00 AM
