SMO Junior 2026 Free Mock Exam Recap!

On 1 May, Kangaroo Study hosted our Free SMO Junior 2026 Mock Exam for students preparing for the upcoming Singapore Mathematical Olympiad. Students arrived in the afternoon and began their paper at 2:00 PM, sitting through a full 2.5 hour mock exam designed to simulate the actual SMO Junior experience.

During the session, students worked independently through a 25-question paper under timed exam conditions. For many students, this was not only a test of mathematical knowledge, but also a valuable opportunity to experience the focus, stamina, and time management required in a real Olympiad setting.

The purpose of this mock exam was to help students and parents gain a clearer understanding of their current preparation level. As SMO approaches, many students may have practised different topics, but it is often difficult to know which areas are truly mastered and which still need more revision. Through this full-length simulation, students were able to identify their strengths, spot challenging question types, and better understand how they perform under exam pressure.

After the mock exam, Kangaroo Study will continue to support students through a structured follow-up process.

On Tuesday, 5 May, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, we will conduct an Online Review Session through our Youtube Channel @Singapore-Secondary-Math, where our teachers will go through selected key questions, common mistakes, and important problem-solving strategies. This session is designed to help students consolidate their learning and avoid repeating similar mistakes in the final stage of preparation.

Starting from Wednesday, 6 May, students will receive their personalised performance feedback report. The report will include a topic-by-topic breakdown of their performance, highlighting their strengths, weaker areas, question types that need improvement, and recommended focus areas for the final revision phase.

We hope this mock exam experience gives students greater confidence and provides parents with a clearer direction for the remaining weeks before SMO Junior 2026.
