Kangaroo Study is a mathematics enrichment centre specialising in Primary & Secondary Math and Olympiad Training. Our programmes cover students from K2 to Secondary level, including Primary Math Olympiad (NMOS, APMOPS, RMO), PSLE Math, Secondary Math, and SMO preparation.

I. Why Kangaroo Study?
When choosing a mathematics programme, most parents are looking for more than just higher test scores. They also want a structured curriculum, dedicated teachers, a transparent learning environment, and most importantly, a place where children can develop confidence, enjoy learning mathematics, and become independent problem-solvers.
At Kangaroo Study, our strengths are built around five key areas:
01 A complete curriculum from K2 to Secondary.
02 Strong competition and school-based results, backed by long-term parent trust.
03 Three teaching principles and our 9-Step Teaching Method.
04 Sit-in Option, refund policy, and dual-teacher classrooms.
05 Extensive learning support and free educational activities.
Ⅱ. Our Curriculum
At Kangaroo Study, our goal goes beyond helping students perform well in examinations. Our curriculum is designed to support students at different stages of their learning journey, developing their mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, academic performance, and competition readiness. Whether a student is new to Math Olympiad, preparing for PSLE, or aiming to excel in Secondary Mathematics and SMO, we will provide a structured learning pathway with clear goals at every stage.
1. Primary Math Olympiad
Our Primary Math Olympiad programme is designed for P1–P6 students who wish to develop stronger mathematical thinking beyond the school syllabus.
For P1–P3 students, lessons focus on number sense, logical reasoning, spatial thinking, and confidence in tackling non-routine problems. These foundations prepare students for more advanced problem-solving in later years.
For P4–P6 students, the programme systematically covers key competition topics required for NMOS, RMO, APMOPS and other major mathematics competitions. Students learn through topic-based lessons and reinforce their understanding through past-year papers, mock examinations, and mistake analysis.
Suitable for:
• Lower primary students who enjoy mathematics and wish to develop logical thinking early.
• Upper primary students preparing for mathematics competitions and aiming for higher-level achievements.

2. PSLE Math
Designed for P5–P6 students, our PSLE Math programme helps students strengthen core concepts and improve their examination skills in a structured and systematic way.
In P5, students strengthen key topics such as Fractions, Ratio, Percentage, Area & Volume, Whole Numbers and Geometry, building a strong foundation for both P5 SA2 and P6.
In P6, students enter a structured PSLE preparation programme that includes concept revision, higher-order problem-solving, examination techniques, and mock examinations. The goal is to help students become familiar with PSLE expectations and improve their examination performance.
Suitable for:
• Students who wish to strengthen their PSLE Mathematics foundation.
• Students aiming for higher AL scores.
• Students who need structured revision and examination preparation.

3. Secondary Math & SMO Programme
Our Secondary Math programme is designed for secondary school students and consists of two pathways: the O/A Level Excellence Programme and the SMO Programme.
For school mathematics, students learn important topics ahead of the school schedule, allowing more time for revision and deeper understanding. Lessons also include challenging questions that strengthen analytical thinking and examination performance.
For SMO preparation, students follow a structured programme covering Junior, Senior and Open categories. The curriculum is typically planned over two years and focuses on advanced problem-solving, mathematical intuition, and competition strategies.
Suitable for:
• Students aiming to maintain strong school mathematics results and achieve A1 grades.
• Students preparing for SMO and higher-level mathematics competitions.
• Students interested in pursuing advanced mathematics training.

Ⅲ. Student Achievements & Parent Feedback
Primary Math Olympiad Results
Our Primary Math Olympiad students have consistently achieved strong results in both local and international competitions, including NMOS, RMO, APMOPS, SASMO, SMKC, and AMC.
In 2025, our students won 14 Gold Awards in NMOS, while 5 students received Platinum Awards in APMOPS. Our lower primary students also performed exceptionally well in competitions such as SASMO and SMKC.
Beyond competition achievements, our programmes focus on helping students develop strong mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills that support their long-term growth.

PSLE Math Results
Our PSLE Math programme focuses on building a strong bridge between P5 and P6 through structured learning and steady progression.
In the 2025 PSLE, 21 students achieved AL1, with 65% of students attaining AL1 or AL2. Many students improved significantly from AL4, AL5, or AL6 in their P5 SA2 examinations to AL1 or AL2 in PSLE. Overall, 92% of students either improved by at least one AL grade or maintained an AL1 result, reflecting the effectiveness of our structured preparation and targeted practice.

Secondary Math & SMO Results
Our Secondary Math and SMO programmes have produced strong results in both school examinations and higher-level competitions.
In the 2025 Sec 1 End-of-Year Examinations, 73.8% of our students achieved A1, including students from many top IP and G3 schools.

In SMO 2025, 51 students qualified for Round 2, 15 students ranked among the National Top 30, 5 students entered the Top 10, and 17 students were selected for the Junior Training Team.
At the highest level of competition, our students have been selected for the Singapore IMO Team for two consecutive years. In both 2024 and 2025, one of our students were among Singapore's six national representatives and went on to win IMO Gold Medals, achieving global rankings of 14th and 27th respectively.
These achievements reflect our commitment to developing both strong competition performance and deep mathematical understanding.

Parent Feedback
Over the years, we have received many positive reviews from parents. Many have shared improvements in their children's confidence, learning habits, problem-solving abilities, and overall interest in mathematics.

Ⅳ. 3 Teaching Principles, 9-Step Teaching Method
Everything we do in the classroom is guided by three core principles.
1. Guiding, Not Pushing
Rather than simply providing answers, our teachers guide students through questions, hints, and step-by-step reasoning to help them discover solutions independently.
We believe math is not about memorising formulas or applying fixed methods mechanically. Instead, students should understand the reasoning behind each approach.
Many math problems test more than calculation skills. They require observation, logical thinking, and the ability to approach problems from different perspectives. When students understand the "why" behind a solution, they become more confident in tackling unfamiliar and challenging questions.

2. No Understanding, No Leaving
At Kangaroo Study, we don't let errors pile up. They are often the starting point of meaningful learning.
We do not want students to leave the classroom with unresolved confusion or accumulated misconceptions. During lessons, teachers actively identify learning gaps through homework, tests, and practices, and address common mistakes promptly.
Our goal is for every student to understand what went wrong, why it happened, and how to avoid making the same mistake again. In this way, mistakes become opportunities for growth rather than simply lost marks.

3. Sense of Achievement
Learning mathematics should be challenging, but it should also be encouraging.
We strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, trying new approaches, and learning from challenges.
Rather than focusing on fixing mistakes, we help students see their progress. Through encouragement and guided support, students gain the confidence to overcome challenges step by step. This sense of achievement becomes a powerful motivation for continued learning, both in mathematics and beyond.

Our 9-Step Teaching Method
To ensure that students not only understand concepts during lessons but are also able to retain, apply, and master them after class, we have developed a comprehensive 9-Step Teaching Method.
This structured learning process helps students build strong understanding, reinforce key concepts, and develop long-term learning habits through a complete learning cycle.

Ⅴ. 3 Key Features
Beyond our curriculum and teaching method, we strive to provide a learning experience that is transparent, supportive, and reassuring for both students and parents.
1. Parents Can Sit In
Parents are welcome to sit in and observe lessons alongside their children. As long as classroom learning is not disrupted, parents can observe their child's participation, take note of key learning points, and gain a better understanding of our teaching approach and lesson content.
This is especially helpful for younger students. Parents will not only know what their children are learning, but can also better support them during revision and practice at home.

2. Refund Policy
Students may withdraw from the course at any time and receive a proportional refund. Additionally, we do not charge any fees beyond the course itself; all materials, homework, exams, and more are provided free of charge.

3. Dual-Teacher Classroom
Our lessons are conducted using a dual-teacher model, where the lead teacher works alongside a teaching assistant.
The lead teacher is responsible for lesson delivery, concept explanation, and classroom guidance, while the teaching assistant helps monitor student participation, practice progress, and learning feedback.
This approach helps lessons run more smoothly and allows students to receive timely attention and support whenever they encounter difficulties.

Ⅵ. Learning Support & Parent Resources
For many Singapore parents, educational planning involves more than just regular lessons. It often includes major examinations, competition opportunities, school transitions, and long-term academic goals.
Besides our regular programmes, Kangaroo Study also provides a range of learning support and parent resources to help families better navigate each stage of their child's education.
1. Free Seminars & Parent Sharing Sessions
We regularly organise seminars and sharing sessions based on the needs of parents across different levels. Topics include PSLE preparation, DSA applications, Secondary 1 Posting, Secondary Math transition, and Math competition planning.
These sessions help parents better understand important milestones within the Singapore education system and make more informed decisions for their children.

2. Math Competitions & Mock Examinations
We also organises math competitions and enrichment activities, such as the Spring Cup, giving students opportunities to develop their problem-solving skills, time management, and competition experience.
Competitions are not only about winning awards. They also provide valuable feedback, helping students identify their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
For PSLE, SMO, and other major exams, we conduct mock exams to help students become familiar with the exam format and timing. After each mock exam, teachers review students' performance in detail, helping them identify knowledge gaps, weak areas, and common mistakes. Often, this feedback and follow-up are more valuable than simply doing more practice papers.

3. Free Learning Resources & Study Groups
In addition to our programmes and activities, we regularly share free learning resources, education updates, and mathematics support with parents.
Parents are welcome to join our community group, where we share useful information, answer common questions, and provide guidance on topics.
Through these resources, we hope to help parents feel more informed, supported, and confident in planning their child's education.
